Girl Scout Junior-Ambassador Trail Adventure Badge Series
$10 per hike | All hikes begin at 9:00 AM

Join us for a four-part Trail Adventure Series as Girl Scouts explore Kauai's beautiful trails while completing badge requirements through hands-on outdoor leadership, safety skills, and trail stewardship. Each hike highlights a different region of the island and includes age-appropriate learning objectives for Juniors-Ambassadors. Girls who attend all three hikes are honored at our Badge Ceremony Celebration on April 25.

 

Badge Objective:Girls will Learn about the differences between day hiking, endurance running, and backpacking trips. They will be carrying a fully stocked backpack for all hikes. 

Requirements: 10 miles, 6 hours, 2,000 ft of elevation change, 3-5 different climates and or terrain. (3/4 hikes to earn the badge)

2026 Hike Schedule

Jan 31 - Maha'ulepu (South, 4 miles)
Learning Focus: Trail safety basics, pacing, coastal observation.

Feb 14 - Okolehao (North, 3 miles)- Tentitive date based on Weather
Learning Focus: Building stamina, safe decision-making, terrain awareness.

Mar 28 - Kuilau Ridge (East, 3.7 miles)
Learning Focus: Team leadership, nature observation, overcoming obstacles.

Apr 25 - Waipo'o Falls Celebration (West, 2.6 miles)
Learning Focus: Badge mastery, reflection, leadership recognition.
Dogs on leash allowed for hikes 1-3; not permitted at Waipo'o Falls.
