Girl Scout troop and Service Unit camping is a foundational part of
membership. Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i offers significantly reduced
pricing on our campground rentals in support of Girl Scouts developing
these essential skills.
Mainland Girl Scouts Requirements
GSH requires that mainland troops obtain approval for their
trip at our campsites through their Council and share documentation of
that approval within 60 days of their trip.

Two
adults minimum must have completed Troop Camp Training.
Troop camping requires increased adult supervision. Please review the
Adult-to-Girl Ratio table to ensure that you are planning ahead to
have a sufficient number of registered and background-checked
adults.
GSH groups must submit a Troop Trip Application Form four weeks in
advance of a day trip or overnight trip, or eight weeks in advance of
a regional or national trip or any trip lasting three or more nights,
or six months in advance of an international trip.
Additional Insurance is required for any trip
lasting three nights or more or has air travel (inter-island, US
Continental, and International).
It is assumed that you
have completed the paperwork and risk management procedures for your
girls and adults for basic troop participation.

Girl Scout Archery Equipment Rental
Troop leaders that hold a valid Level 1 Archery certification can
rent archery equipment from GSH and facilitate archery on their own,
provided they follow Safety Activity Checkpoints and equipment
handling guidelines. GSUSA ratio requirements is 1 instructor per 10 girls.
Equipment rental is $300 per day, to support ongoing maintenance,
repairs and replacement of equipment.
Normal wear and tear during the rental period is expected and we
typically anticipate an average of one broken bow and up to 20
lost/damaged arrows per rental day. Any losses or damages beyond that
baseline will incur additional charges to cover replacement costs.
