Join us for a deliciously educational adventure at Lydgate Farms, an award-winning chocolate farm on Kauai's east side. During this guided experience, girls will explore the full "bean-to-bar" chocolate-making process while walking through lush tropical gardens filled with cacao, vanilla, honeybees, exotic fruits, and native plants.
Participants will learn how cacao is harvested, fermented, dried, and transformed into chocolate while discovering the role science, agriculture, sustainability, and Hawaiian growing conditions play in the process. The experience also includes opportunities to sample tropical fruits, fresh cacao, local honey, and a variety of handcrafted chocolates during an immersive tasting experience.
This unique program blends STEM, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and food science into one unforgettable hands-on experience designed to spark curiosity and deepen appreciation for locally grown products and sustainable farming practices in Hawaii.
