April is National Prevent Child Abuse Prevention Month. To increase the awareness of child abuse prevention throughout Kauai during the month of April Girl Scouts and participating organizations plant pinwheel gardens.

The pinwheels symbolize every child's right to a positive childhood and serves as a visual reminder that the community of Kauai is actively supporting families in preventing the risk factors that lead to child abuse.

By planting pinwheels in your community, you will receive a special Pinwheel Patch
