Become a steward of Kaiwi Mauka Lands by assisting in a native dry forest restoration project. Learn about the history and cultural significance of the area, how invasive plants have negatively impacted the land, and how reintroduction of native plants help the environment.

Girl Scouts and adults will participate in a 1-mile hike, help to remove invasive plants, create native seed balls, plant native vegetation, and assist in placement of native plant identification markers for education and appreciation for years to come. Upon completing this project, Girl Scouts will earn a limited-edition Hawaii Mālama Āina Patch.

Light snack provided. Water will be available.
