Who Can Attend: Daisy (Saturday Day), Brownie, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors

Adults Volunteers who register to attend agree to be Chaperones and must complete a background check prior to camp. Please review our chaperone agreement form prior to registration. Adults can sign up for a Camp Role prior to camp or will be randomly assigned to a group. Please be prepared to NOT be paired with your daughter's group. In order to assure maximum space for girl participation, adult chaperone spots are limited to the first 7. Troop leaders are not required to attend.

 

Join us for an unforgettable journey into Hawaiian culture, traditions, and natural stewardship!

By completing this enriching program, participants will: 

 

- Discover the meaning of Oli: Girls will learn the Girl Scout Promise and Law in Olelo.

- Malama 'Aina: TBD

- Explore the Ahupua'a system: Learn how water was used to sustain life in different parts of this traditional Hawaiian land division. 

- Dance and connect: Learn a beautiful hula and share your performance with your 'Ohana (family). 

- Navigate like a Polynesian Voyager: Understand the significance of the Big Dipper, Southern Cross, and North Star in traditional wayfinding. 

- Create your own Hawaiian quilt design, inspired by traditional patterns and motifs. 

- Express your creativity through lei making and carry a piece of Hawaii with you. 

- Have fun with Hawaiian games, blending history and play. 

This program offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Hawaii while contributing to its preservation. Whether you're learning to dance hula, designing your own quilt, or playing traditional games, you'll walk away with new skills, cherished memories, and a deeper appreciation for Hawaiian traditions.

Registration Fee

Registration fee includes the following

  • Hawaiian Badge
  • Nametag & Lanyard
  • Activity Supplies
  • (Overnight) Snack for Friday night, Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner for Saturday. Breakfast for Sunday.
  • (Day Camper) Lunch, Snack

Full payment must be submitted to complete each registration.

There is NO REFUND for this event.

CHECK IN/OUT

Girl Scouts must remain in their vehicle until we are ready for check-in. For the safety and welfare of everyone, family members are not allowed to exit vehicles. 

Check in at 5pm Friday October 24th

Check out at 10:30 am Sunday October 26th

 

ATTIRE / WHAT TO BRING

  • Dinner for Friday
  • Closed-toe shoes are required
  • Day Pack & Overnight Bag (packing list will be provided)
  • Bottled Water

Adult Camp Volunteers

Unless otherwise specified all positions require:

  • Minimum age 21
  • Current or Lifetime Girl Scout Membership
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check (with no restrictions)
  • Current Driver's License

Physical requirements of all camp staff positions include prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, hiking, climbing, and stretching; requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to utilize camp equipment.  Willing to live in a camp setting and work extended hours; and with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and animals and insects.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work in outside temperatures and potentially extreme conditions.
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
  • Ability to physically assist campers with mobility impairment.
  • Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid.
  • Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).
  • Possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.

Teen Mentor and Volunteer ZOOM MEETING

Adult Volunteers and Teen Mentors must attend the mandatory Zoom meetings:

  • Friday August 22nd 5:30- 7pm
  • Friday September 12th 5:30-7pm
  • Friday October 3rd 5:30pm -7pm

GROUP SLEEPING ARANGEMENTS

One of the wonderful opportunities in going to camp is meeting girls/leaders from other troops and sharing new experiences. Your daughter will be randomly placed into a group. Troops should not expect to stay as a troop/unit for all activities. Girls will sleep in their own cabins. Girls and an adult chaperone will sleep in the same unit but not in the same cabin.

**Girls and Adult Chaperones must have their own sleeping bag.
