Looking for a meaningful community service project that helps protect marine life? In this workshop at Hawaii Preparatory Academy (HPA), Girl Scouts will learn about the environmental impact of discarded fishing line and help process materials from local fishing line recycling bins.
Participants will measure and prepare collected line for proper recycling-making a tangible difference in our local ecosystem. This unique opportunity is open to local girl scouts in 7th grade and above.
Who Can Attend: Cadettes, Seniors, and
Ambassadors, 6th through 12th grade
Additional Notes:
This activity counts toward community service hours.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle.
