Aloha GSH ‘Ohana! We've updated our volunteer roles to make it easier to share the load across your troop's adult team! Use this form to tell us which roles you'd like displayed on your troop's account. Once selected, interested volunteers who view your troop will be able to see and sign up for the roles you actually need filled.

Because of this update, no adult roles are currently showing on any troop account — even if your troop is open and active in the catalog. If you are actively recruiting adult volunteers, completing this form is the only way to get those roles visible again.

You do not need to open every role — only select the ones you are actively recruiting for right now. If you are not recruiting any adult volunteers at this time, no action is needed and you do not need to submit this form.

Select Roles to Open on Your Troop Account

Check all roles you would like displayed as open positions for your troop. Descriptions of each updated role are below.

Shares overall leadership of the troop, including planning, meetings, and general oversight, alongside a co-leader.

Troop Co-Leader

A new role split out from Troop Co-Leader to help share the load. Handles administrative tasks such as registration, permission slips, communications, and troop records, so leaders can focus more on girl programming

Troop Admin

Newly split out from Troop Co-Leader. Focuses on planning and teaching at troop meetings, activities, and girl-led programming.

Girl Program Coordinator (GPC)

Manages the troop's cookie program, including inventory, booth scheduling, and coordinating with families during the cookie season.

Troop Cookie Manager

This role has replaced Troop Volunteers and Friends & Family. Girl Mentors / Troop Support provide general help at meetings and events, mentoring girls and supporting troop leaders as needed.

Girl Mentor/Troop Support

This role has replaced Troop Treasurer and Bank Signatory. The Finance Keeper manages the troop's bank account, tracks income and expenses, and keeps financial records for the troop.

A Note on Camp Roles:

Troop First Aider and Troop Camp Specialist are no longer separate troop roles. These will instead be tracked as achievements on the troop account. Camp-related achievements will be added to the system later and will reflect completed Troop Camp training.
