Start the new membership year strong at our Back-to-Troop Leader Training!

This interactive training is designed for both new and returning troop leaders and will provide the tools, resources, and connections needed for a successful Girl Scout year. Together, we'll review membership renewals, troop rosters, volunteer requirements, year planning, safety resources, and council support systems.

Topics include:
* Managing troop rosters and memberships through MyGS
* Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) and year planning resources
* GS Events registration and council opportunities
* Family engagement strategies and parent volunteer recruitment
* BAND setup, communication best practices, and examples from successful troops
* Health forms, Safety Activity Checkpoints, Volunteer Essentials, and required trainings
* Understanding who to contact at council for support

The afternoon will feature Leader Expert Roundtables, where experienced volunteers share real-world tips and successful practices on topics such as Daisy troops, multi-level troops, family engagement, recruitment, troop finances, cookies, camping, ceremonies, outdoor adventures, Highest Awards, and more.

Whether you're leading your first troop meeting or your tenth year as a volunteer, you'll leave with practical resources, new connections, and a clear plan for the year ahead.

Registration is $20 per person and includes printed training materials, a light lunch, and refreshments throughout the day.

Please bring:
* A laptop or tablet (recommended)
* Login information for MyGS, Volunteer Toolkit (VTK), and BAND
* Your troop meeting schedule or proposed meeting dates for the year
* Your troop budget or financial goals for the upcoming year
* Notes from your girls about what they want to do, earn, explore, or accomplish this year
* Questions, challenges, and ideas you'd like help solving
* Any resources, forms, or planning tools you currently use and would like to share with other leaders

Come prepared to work on your troop's annual plan so you can leave with concrete next steps, a stronger support network, and a roadmap built around your girls' goals and interests.

Interested in serving as a Roundtable Subject Expert? We are looking for experienced volunteers willing to share ideas, resources, and best practices with fellow leaders. If you have expertise in an area such as troop finances, family engagement, cookies, camping, ceremonies, recruitment, multi-level troop management, or another topic, please contact Marissa Dennis or Service Unit Manager Joanie Wings prior to the training to sign up as a Roundtable Subject Expert.
