Ready to take your camp experience to the next level? Join us for S'more VIT Camp, an interactive adult training weekend designed for volunteers interested in serving on council camp staff teams.
During this training, participants will explore the many opportunities available to support Girl Scout camping programs, including roles such as Camp Director, Program Director, Camp Nurse, Camp Cook, Unit Leader Supervisor, and other key volunteer leadership positions.
We will review the responsibilities, expectations, certifications, and training requirements needed to become qualified camp staff for council-sponsored camps.

Participants will receive an overview of camp operations, safety requirements, program planning, camper supervision, emergency procedures, food service, health management, and volunteer leadership development. Experienced camp volunteers will share insights about their roles and help attendees identify the camp position that best matches their interests and skills.
Girl Scout camping is powered by volunteers. Without dedicated adults willing to serve in these vital camp staff roles, many of the outdoor experiences our girls love would not be possible. By becoming camp-certified and stepping into a leadership role, you help create safe, memorable, and life-changing outdoor adventures for future generations of Girl Scouts.
