An introduction to ground school, girl scouts move through 4 modules of aviation education: ground school, practical science, pre-flight responsibilities, and simulated flight. Ground School is a classroom discussion of aviation science. Within the Learning Lab, scouts study and apply aviation concepts through experimentation and group discussion. In the Hangar, scouts conduct a pre-flight inspection on an actual aircraft as well as learn how to file a flight plan. Finally, the Simulator Bay culminates the day's activities in a virtual flight over Oahu along a pre-determined route.
