Junior Engineer Journey Camp
Juniors will learn how engineers use the Design Thinking Process to solve problems and do a hands-on Design Challenge.
This program is open to Junior Girls Scouts in grades 4 to 5 and Adult Chaperones. Participate in traditional camp activities along with earning the new Engineer Journey Badge with guidance from camp staff.
Adults who register to attend agree to be Chaperones and must complete a background check prior to camp. Please review our chaperone agreement form prior to registration. Adults will be randomly assigned to a group. Please be prepared to NOT be paired with your daughter's group.
In order to assure maximum space for girl participation, adult chaperone spots are limited to the first 10. Troop leaders are not required to attend.
BYO Lunch: Provide your own sack lunch on Saturday. Snack will be provided. If overnighting, Dinner & Breakfast will be served.
**Girls and Adult Chaperones must have their own sleeping bag.
Group / Sleeping Arrangements
One of the wonderful opportunities in going to camp is meeting girls/leaders from other troops and sharing new experiences. Your daughter will be randomly placed into a group. Troops should not expect to stay as a troop/unit for all activities. Girls will sleep in their own cabins. Girls and an adult chaperone will sleep in the same unit but not in the same cabin.
Full payment must be submitted to complete each registration. There is NO REFUND for this event.
All Overnight Campers and Staff, both girls and adults are required to complete and file a current Health Information for Council Program form and YMCA Waiver by Friday, September 10, 2019.
