STEM  Day -OR- Overnight Camp

Camp Paumalu   Haleiwa, HI

June 25-26, 2022

The demand for talented coders, game developers, robotics engineers, and designers continues to increase. STEM camp offers Girl Scouts hands-on activities with Female STEM Professionals. Gain skills for future careers and foster valuable 21st-century life skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration.

During STEM Camp, girls will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover ways that STEM and the outdoors develop a strong sense of self, positive values and practical life skills.
  • Connect with other girls and adults to develop healthy relationships through cooperation, team building, and learning by doing.
  • Take action to become resourceful problem solvers and learners who inspire others to act.

STEM Camp is open to all registered Girl Scouts from Daisy to Ambassador and Adult Chaperones.

Overnight participants must have COVID vaccination card on file. Unvaccinated participants may attend Day Camp only, providing a negative COVID test result within 48 hours to camp start time.

Adults who register to attend must be a registered member and complete a background check prior to camp. Please review our chaperone agreement form prior to registration. Adults will be randomly assigned to a group. Please be prepared to NOT be paired with your daughter's group.
In order to assure maximum space for girl participation, adult chaperone spots are limited to the first 10. Troop leaders are not required to attend.

**Girls and Adult Chaperones must have their own sleeping bag.

Group / Sleeping Arrangements
One of the wonderful opportunities in going to camp is meeting girls/leaders from other troops and sharing new experiences. Your daughter will be randomly placed into a group. Troops should not expect to stay as a troop/unit for all activities. Girls will sleep in their own cabins. Girls and an adult chaperone will sleep in the same unit but not in the same cabin.

Any time you are in a gathering with other people, you are putting yourself and others at risk of exposure to COVID-19 which can lead to serious medical conditions and even death for people of all ages. We cannot predict who will become severely ill, although we know that older people and those with underlying health conditions are at higher risk. We do not yet know what the long-term effects of COVID-19 are; even people with mild cases may experience long-term complications. People with and without symptoms can spread COVID-19. The masking, distancing, and other guidance provided here is intended to reduce the risk of transmission but does not eliminate it.
